DESCRPTION
Danny is one handsome doctor with deep brown eyes and an intense gaze. He has soft brown hair that he might grow out now and then or maybe he’ll fashion it into an unusual style. Sometimes he’ll grow out a mustache or beard and sometimes he’ll shave it right off. He’s tall and thin but not too thin. Danny has somewhat feminine features, such as high cheek-bones, and a small nose, but that doesn't make his appearance by any means feminine. He has a very attractive smile, with near perfect teeth underneath it. He has an attractive but unique and sometimes strange style that catches everyone’s attention. Usually though, he wears his doctor’s coat and a stethoscope around his neck with some nice pants. All of this shows off his obviously toned skin and huge muscles. He works out often to keep fit. One look at him, ladies and you’ll be in love.

Lately, Danny has taken to wearing cowboy hats so he looks like he’s southern a lot of the time. It’s a new fad he has come up with and it suits him well. When he isn’t on the job, he likes to wear t-shirts and jeans like a true southerner, though he’s not from the south. His favorite shoes are his tennis shoes. He doesn’t like cowboy boots, but it would fit his southern personality. He’s not into the jewelry thing, but he does occasionally wear earrings. He has many tattoos that are from his early years in life. He has a lot of strength and energy and could probably beat you up if he liked as you can see just by looking at his appearance. Even as a teenager, all of the girls fawned over him, helplessly. He was – and still is – one handsome man.

▪ Silent – Danny is someone who is more of a suffer in silence type. His life wasn’t the happiest one and he was in pain a lot but he was the type who most people consider suffer in silence. No matter what the pain he wouldn’t tell anyone and he barely talked to other people. A lot of people make assumptions from his quietness that he is a loner and dangerous. Even when his mother was hitting him or crying, he would take it in silence. It is also what the girls call his coolest point.

▪ Kind – Even though Danny appears dangerous, he really is a sweet guy that would stop to help an old lady cross the street. He is a good friend and if you need help, you can ask and he’ll be glad to help you out. He might do it quietly but he will do random acts of kindness as well. It might be shoveling snow off the driveway for you or getting you exactly what you wanted for Christmas and not mentioning his last name, but he is a nice guy who would even help a hobo on the street. Not many people saw this kind side of him though.

▪ Passionate – Danny is pretty loving and passionate. If he likes someone he won’t hesitate to court her. He’s not good at flirting but he is a romanticist and will do things such as send flowers or a box of chocolates. However, if you like him and he doesn’t like you back, he feels uncomfortable. He will take to avoiding you and ignoring you. A lot of the girls he has done this too thought he was being cold but he was really just too shy to tell you that he doesn’t feel the same. He loves candle lit dinners and going to the beach together and watching sunsets. If you’re his girlfriend, he’s definitely going to treat you like royalty!

▪ Shy – This trait goes hand in hand with his silent trait. Most people think that he’s just a cold man who never speaks and he could be mistaken as a guard but he just feels too shy. Usually, he won’t approach people; you have to approach him. After you get to know him though, he’ll be a good friend. It might take a little bit but even if you’re helplessly annoying, he will still be there for you. Someday – if you are his friend and have proved it – you might actually see the talkative side of the silent Danny.

▪ Calm – Danny is the type of guy, that if made angry would be very calm. He might strike back with words, but he would never start a fight as he isn’t a very violent person. If someone else starts the fight, he will feel the need to fight back, but only to stop the whole fight. He’s pretty calm even when people are yelling at him which is probably from his early years in life. He can sit there with people breathing down his back and not care at all. He’s usually collected even during an emergency if an inmate is sick. He’ll hand out directions quickly and get everything under control. While other people panic, he’s cool and not freaked out.

▪ Egotistic – Though Danny doesn’t usually shout it out to the world, he knows he has the looks and is always conscious of that fact. Most of his friends would think he is more of a modest man but when it comes to his looks, he knows he has everything a woman looks for. He won’t flaunt it exactly, but he loves to hear compliments, and you might just get a well deserved smile out of him. He takes care of himself because he is worried that his looks might fade out, but he knows. When other people notice his looks and compliments him, he might actually tease them – which is rare for Danny – and tell them, “I know.”

▪ Modest – Except for his looks, Danny is pretty modest. He doesn’t think he is that smart and he’ll credit other people instead of himself. He doesn’t know whether he is as amazing as a lot of people tell him but he doesn’t deny what they say. Just gives them that enchanting smile of his and a polite thank you and he may even compliment you back, but he doesn’t really know if he is as smart or kind as you might say he is. It might take a lot to get through to him and let him know how amazing he really is.

Hailey Marie Kail and Mark Joseph Smith met at a bar one night and hit it off just like that. Hailey was naïve and divorced and Mark was the total opposite. That night, they had a one night stand just the two of them. When Hailey woke up in the morning, she found out that Mark was gone and she was alone in a room Mark rented above the hotel. She was left to pay the bill. She paid with what little money she had and left the bar and her only memory with Mark. Two weeks later, she went to the doctor to get tested for STDs and found out she was pregnant with a little baby boy.

On October fourth, Danny Mikelis Smith was born to the streets of Detroit. His mother was broke and her parents had shunned their own daughter. The baby had come at the worst time in her life and had caused and uproar in her family. As the money ran out to pay hospital bills and her family basically disowned her, Hailey had to live in her car which had thankfully been paid off. With the help of a nearby store owner and his wife, Hailey and her new son survived a stressful twelve hour labor. Hailey now had a baby she didn’t want and no life. How was she going to deal with it?

Danny was never a normal kid. He grew up in the streets with his mother beating him often. She told Danny that since she had gone through so much to get him; he should be the perfect son. If Danny didn’t do what he was told in the less than perfect way she expected, she would hit him or beat him. Danny was able to go to school. His mother had made good friends with the store owner who had helped give birth to Danny, and he paid for Danny’s education. As he grew older, Danny worked part time jobs – lying about his age – to pay back the store owner and pay for his junior high and high school expenses. His mother was pleased about this. The kids throughout his school life and even ones he met on the street didn’t know he was homeless. They knew he dressed sloppily but his good looks and personality didn’t seem like a homeless person’s way of acting. He was even pretty popular/ No one found out and you could say it was thanks to his mother’s way of teaching him to be perfect that no one noticed.

Danny’s life was stressful though. He was always taking care of his mother and sometimes he didn’t have enough to eat. He was quiet about it though and never complained. He dealt with the pain of it all very calmly. He loved Hailey though she physically abused him often. He felt it was his duty to make sure she lived. He knew the story of his father and didn’t really know what happened to him after the night he was conceived but Danny hated him. He was upset that the man had left his poor, forlorn mother like that. He was always protective and respectful of woman. It was probably his mother’s influence. He hoped he never saw his father. Then, the biggest tragedy happened to Danny. His mother died of a heart attack.

Hailey had a proper burial. When her parents heard of her death, they became sorry for what they had done and recognized that abandoning Hailey had been a mistake. Her father even blamed himself since he was the one with the history of heart attacks. She might have been saved if she had gone to the hospital but she had insisted that she die since they didn’t have the money to pay the bills. So, Hailey Marie Smith died at a store in Detroit and was buried in a near by burial ground behind a church.

Danny had just finished high school. He was unsure of what to do with himself now that his mother had died and he didn’t have a place to live. So, he sold the beat up car they had lived in and got a job at a nearby gas station to rent an apartment. Danny had an overwhelming need to help people but he didn’t know what to do about it. He was talking to the store owner who had been with him throughout his life and the man suggested Danny go to college to be a doctor. At first, Danny was confused. Why would he want to become a doctor? Then, the possibilities of the job showed themselves. He would be able to help people and get paid. He would be able to have a life. Suddenly, Danny had a dream. The store owner wanted to pay for the education but Danny refused. He wanted to pay for it himself. He took up even more jobs becoming busy and getting night classes so he could work in the day, study at night and do homework in between, taking naps here and there and drinking a lot of coffee. He worked hard and after what seemed like forever, he had finally graduated, taken all the necessary tests and was a doctor at the age of twenty four years old.

At first, Danny only worked at regular hospitals and never really noticed the mental side of helping people even though he had been taught everything in school. Slowly though, he became interested in it. He was working at Beaumont hospital in Troy when he got a job offer from Michigan State. He noticed that they were low on staff and it wasn’t too far from his own home. He could look into his interest of mental problems while still working. It seemed perfect so he accepted and he landed here, at State. What drama will he cause in his stay here?
