I've been burned so badbut I still play with fire sometimes naked truth is what I don't believe in• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Something Holly was known for was the fact that she thought she could get away with more than other inmates because her mum and brother worked here, she was wrong. She had to be treated like any other inmate but still she thought she could get away with murder in here. Holly always acted like the innocent one whenever she got caught doing something she shouldn't and claimed that she wasn't doing anything when she knew well what she was doing. Sneaking into the nurses office and making sure there were none around to catch her she smiled when she didn't see anybody. The nurses station had a code lock on the door to stop anybody from getting in apart from the nurses although the amount of times Holly had watched her mum go in and out she knew the code off by heart but would never tell any other inmates, she's just selfish that way.
Sneaking in she closed the door quietly and headed for the back cupboard where the nurses kept some of the drugs and medicines they administered on a daily basis, the real powerful drugs were kept in a cupboard with a lock on it so she knew she couldn't get into that one. She felt proud of herself for getting into the nurses office as she pulled open the cupboard, pulling the unlocked latch off. She couldn't pronounce any of the names of the drugs that she pulled out, searching to the back to see if there was anything good, she would take anything to help her cravings. After a few minutes of rustling around in the cupboard she heard the lock of the door being pressed and the door open, she panicked and froze. She's not used to getting caught, she knew if it was her mum she would just tell her that she wasn't supposed to be in here and to go away but it wasn't her mum, it was nurse Jackson. Holly didn't like her because she was never sympathetic to the inmates and basically treated them like criminals or something. "Miss Kennedy, what are you doing in here?!" she shouted directly over to Holly. Holly didn't know what to say "Oh yeah, I'm searching for drugs to keep up my habit" she couldn't say that, she had to come up with something sensible. "....I'm looking for my mom?" Holly questioned as she slowly closed over the medicine cupboard, looking completely guilty but trying to remain innocent. "...Right, of course you are. Now get out of here" she shouted to Holly.
Holly never does what she's told and instantly sat down on one of the nearest chairs and folded her arms. "No" she stated like a scolded child. The nurses always knew not to argue or fight with the inmates, it would only make things worse and she walked over to the small microphone on the desk, pressed the button and called for security. Holly cringed, she hates the security guards, they can always lift her with one hand most of the time and out of all of the people here she can't escape them. She knew she had to get out before they came. Getting up and running out the door as fast as she could she ran straight into one of the security guards as he was ready to walk into the nurses office. Instantly grabbing her by the arms Holy whined, he was hurting her and he probably knew it and Holly being the fragile thing she is was dragged down the corridor but not without her shouting and screaming at him to let her go, he just ignored her. She knew exactly where she was going, isolation. She didn't think there was any need for it. To make things worse he had grabbed her by her arm that was full of cuts, grazes and needle marks and it was painful. She almost started crying his grip with that painful on her and she was determined to get her own back now but that was until he grabbed the handle of the solid door, opened it and threw her in like a ragdoll. She hit the floor harshly, landing on her elbow. Starting to whine as she rubbed her elbow she knew he had no right to just throw her in, it wasn't fair.
She wanted out and wanted out fast, she hated isolation. You weren't allowed to talk or even breathe in the wrong direction with the security cameras watching you. The room completely empty, white and cold, Hollly stood up and started band at the door and shouting for them to let her out and after ten minutes or so there was still now reply. Looking around and nobody else was in here, she looked up to the small window. Maybe she could get out that way? but it had wire mesh in front of it to stop anybody from climbing out of it. This wouldn't stop Holly, she would try to get out. There's nothing better she would love than to get out and she has expressed this wish more than once. The only items in the room where an empty book shelf, a couple of chairs and an old desk and she knew she could use them. Pulling the desk over under the window she climbed up on it and attempted to pull at the wire mesh, she wanted to get it off so she could get out of the window but she found it stuck tight, it wasn't coming off without a fight. Pulling and pulling at it she almost fell backwards off of the table. Gripping it one last time before she was ready to give up she pulled at it and she managed to get it off, she felt so proud of herself. Although, things never seem to go right for Holly. As she pulled the wire mesh off, she pulled it so hard, that she fell backwards off of the table holding the mesh in her hand and as she fell the wire mesh ripped it's way into her skin. It had created a large slash on her arm as she fell, the blood running down her arm as she hit the ground and hitting her head off the hard carpeted floor.
"oww" she muttered as she rubbed her head and let go of the wire mesh she was holding, she hadn't even realised that there was blood running all over her arm and some splats on her face, a silent wound. Sitting up she saw splats of blood on the floor and looked towards her arm and she started screaming in horror. One thing that Holly can't stomach is blood, it freaks her out. Screaming even more she held her hand to the slash as the blood found its way over her hands. She didn't think it mattered how much she screamed, she knew that others would think she was just looking for attention. Screaming in horror she started to shout for help but there was no answer, was she just supposed to bleed to death?

Enter; Miss Ceilidh Emerson Ceilidh had been doing some rounds of the school out of bordom. She was new here and she had nothing to do. She was really anticipating her first meeting with a patient, much to her surprise. She was really just looking forward to hopefully helping and making a difference in the life of one of these young, troubled souls. She probably wouldn't be able to take it if one of her patients did away with themselves, it would probably crush her. Like Lily crushed her. She pushed the horrible thoughts out of her mind, reminding herself that that was the field she worked in, and sometimes, death happens and you need to learn to deal with it. No matter how impossibly difficult it seems.
Ceilidh had begun her rounds again when she first thought she heard a scream. She paused for a moment, waiting to see if the sound would come again, and when it did, she took off running down the hallway. She knew the difference between an I want attention scream and an I'm in pain scream. She went as quickly as she could down the hallway, following the sound of the scream. She stopped in front of the door it was coming out of. One of the isolation rooms. Before opening the door though, Ceilidh paused. It made no sense. There was nothing in an isolation room a patient could use to hurt themselves with, so what was going on?
She took a deep breath before pushing the door open. There, standing by the window, was a bloody Holly Kennedy. Ceilidh frowned at the sight. She had a ton of blood running down her arm, splattered on her face, and in puddles on the floor. It took Ceilidh a few moments to figure out how it had happened, and when she did, she wasn't overly surprised. Miss Kennedy had tried to escape out of the window and cut her arm on the mesh. Ceilidh shook her head before reaching into her bag and pulling out a few sterile pads and a roll of gauze. It would have to do for now, or until she could get Holly in to see a nurse. She offered a sad smile to the girl before lightly taking her arm and wiping it off with one of the pads.
"I'm sorry if this hurts you."Ceilidh said as she wiped the fast flowing blood off her arm. "How did you possibly manage to bleed this much, darling?" It was true, the blood was really coming. Holly would without a doubt be in need of stitches, and probably a lot of painkillers as well. When Ceilidh finished covering the girls' arm in gauze, she looked up at her. "Care to tell me exactly how you were planning on getting out of here, Holly? Even if you did get out the window, I do believe you know very well that you wouldn't have made it very far."
Ceilidh smiled again at the girl.Of course, Ceilidh didn't approve of Holly attempting to break out, but she didn't really blame her for trying to get out. Would someone actually enjoy being stuck in a room without anything to do? Ceilidh didn't exactly agree with isolation, it just seemed to get patients much more roused up then necessary.

I've been burned so badbut I still play with fire sometimes naked truth is what I don't believe in• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Holly thought she would probably die in a place like this, she couldn't take it any more which was why she was so desperate to get out most of the time. It only resorted her to do precisely this, try to get out and eventually hurting herself because of it. She knew that her mum and Hart especially would be disappointed in her actions but she has always made it clear since the first day she came here that she wanted to leave and she had been here for around four months now and she still wasn't any "better". She had told Hart before that she wanted to go home but she didn't think he fully understood her passion behind her wish, she couldn't understand why she couldn't go home. Sure, she was kind of a drug addict who would take anything she was given, from colace to horse tranquillisers but she wanted to go home, she felt like she didn't need any help or at least not as much help as other kids who she thought had it worse off then her.
She felt like she couldn't scream any more, her throat becoming hoarse. The security guard not even bothering to check out what was going on, it sounded like an animal was dying in there and yet he stayed outside the room, so much for caring. Holding onto her arm she didn't know what to do, all she could do was stare as the blood ran and feeling more queasy and faint by the second, Holly can't handle blood at all, she can't even watch it on TV. People find this a strange quality about her though as she tends to cut herself a lot, hints as to why her arms is covered in scars and scratches and needle marks. She felt like she was going to be sick as her grip on her wound weakened, why did she have to try and get out like this? she only caused herself harm. Ready to give up, her wound was more serious than she thought, she had torn her radial artery which was the reason why the blood was flowing at such a fast pace. Leaning her back against the leg of the table she tried to keep a grip of her arm but she was weakening and she felt herself falling over to her side slightly.
Faintly hearing the door open she thought that the guard thought she was too quiet now and had come to investigate, she was hopeful for anybody after what she did to herself, accidently though. Looking up she had recognised the woman from somewhere but she couldn't remember properly from where. Something told her that she wanted to help her anyway and Holly let her take her blood stained arm. Staring up at the woman as she tried to bandage her arm she started to cough, her throat was hoarse and painful, she felt like she couldn't speak at all, that would be a godsend to some people who find her high pitched voice very annoying. Whining, Holly didn't know what to say... if she could find the voice to say anything, all she could do was whimper. "I don't know. I'm stupid" she whispered hoarsely, answering her question. She stopped to pause for a breath, she felt really faint and she didn't like it. "I wanna go home" she whispered again, the only reason she tried to get out was so that she could go home. Her face becoming paler by the second she looked like she was going to be sick as she automatically found the strength to bring her good arm up to her mouth but instead she passed out, falling limp. It wasn't a pretty site for anybody to witness and would Ceilidh be able to handle this on her own?

Ceilidh felt sad for the girl. She was here and people thought she was crazy. That she needed help. Holly obviously didn't believe this to be true, and that is what crushed Ceilidh's heart. She couldn't imagine being told that she was going to have to go live at Michigan State until she got better. It would have to be the worst experience of a young person's life. And then imagine leaving. Your friends? Would they even be your friends anymore? They are teenagers, you can never really trust what they say. They could say one thing, and mean the exact opposit. Ceilidh had experience in that area.
Ceilidh looked down at the girl sadly. She had so much potential, if she could just get out of here. She could have the perfect life ahead of her. She was smart, pretty, nice. She could have great high school years, there was no doubt about it that Holly had boyfriends. That Holly used to have time for boyfriends. Ceilidh couldn't even imagine going through high school with a boyfriend or even friends other then Lily. She had been such a loner, always wanting to be the best and always wanting to please her adoptive parents, that she had never bothered to try and make friends. It just never occurred to her like those thoughts occurred to other teenagers.
When Holly spoke for the first time, Ceilidh shook her head. "You are in no way stupid, dear, trust me. I'm not mad at you, I promise." And it was true, as much as she wanted to be, Ceilidh was not mad at miss Kennedy for trying to escape. She really wasn't. She probably should be dealing out another sort of punishment for the girl, but Ceilidh thought that she was going through enough remorse for her actions right now, what with a bloody arm and all. Ceilidh looked down at the girl and saw that her skin was getting paler. When Holly spoke again, her voice was very weak. Ceilidh kept her arm lightly around the girls' shoulders and began to slowly lead her out of the isolation room.
Ceilidh nodded slightly. "Of course you want to go home, darling. That is perfectly understandable. But Holly, you must know that trying to escape isn't the right way to get out. The right way to get out is to go to counseling. With me or another counselor. We can help you, it's our job." She said, as she carefully took a few more steps toward the door. The girl was starting to wobble. Suddenly, Holly brought her hand to her mouth, which made Ceilidh think that she was going to throw up. Ceilidh stopped walking and watched the girl, and to her surprise, Holly Kennedy collapsed right into her arms. Ceilidh was shocked, had the girl really lost that much blood? That must be it. Unless of course, she had gotten hold of some drugs which in turn had knocked her out. That seemed more probably to Ceilidh, who had hear tell of this happening before. Patients getting tranquilizers and strong painkillers and taking them without knwoing exactly what they were.
Ceilidh could have continued trying to figure out what had happened in her mind, but she didn't have that kind of time on her hands. She gently lay Holly down on the ground and quickly checked for breathing and circulation. Everything seemed to be in working condition, so Ceilidh did a more thorough check. Once again, everything seemed to be fine. Had she really just fainted? Maybe the sight of blood makes her sick... Ceilidh pulled out her pager and sent a mesage to all of the staff members, telling them that there was an unconscious girl in isolation and that she needed immediate help. When she was done with her message, Ceilidh stared down at the girl, brushing her hair off her forehead. Ceilidh prayed for Holly's sake that the girl would get better and get out of here soon.
