Kirsten was hungry. Majorly hungry. Starving. She entered the cafeteria and grabbed a tray unwillingly. She hadn’t liked the food here, but she couldn’t starve herself. No matter how much she tried to fast, her stomach would growl and it would just annoy her and make her annoyed. No matter how much she didn’t want to go near the cafeteria, she had to. Her mind was whirring with thoughts about everything. Michigan State, her old life, the multiple reasons for why she was here, the guy issues… They were more than she could handle. She wanted to push all of that away from her mind, but it was hard as they kept banging on this invisible wall she had to rebuild as the issues knocked it down. She sighed as she went down the line. There were a lot of choices but none of them were very appealing. She chose meatloaf, some chips, an apple and a bottle of water. None of them looked safe to eat at all. She grabbed them, ignoring the glare and turning around and wondering where she should sit. She looked around and found an empty table. Not many people were fond of the cafeteria food so it wasn’t hard to find empty places to sit. She made her way over and plunked down, not at all sure if she should eat anymore. Nothing looked healthy and she had lost her appetite. She used a fork to stab her meatloaf. She used her other hand to prop her head up. At least no one got mad when she had her elbows on the table here. Her parents would probably have gone mad. She started humming randomly. There were a lot of things to think about but none of which she wanted to think about. Maybe spending more time here was making her lose brain cells. That seemed highly possible. She had been here for only about a week and her time had been adventure filled. Was that even the right way to put it? Her cell phone buzzed. It was probably another text from Lizzie no doubt. She took it out of her pocket and flipped it open. It’s so boring without you here. Kirsten frowned. Yea, right. Everyone was probably happy she had left. No one liked her. They all hid that very well though. Kirsten couldn’t trust anyone anymore since she found out how bad betrayal felt. She would play along though but refused to let herself get hurt in the end, somehow believing that every person in the world hated her. It was a common known fact in her head. She typed in a message back. Go see a movie. Problem solved. No it wasn’t. She sent the message with a tap of her finger on the send key. She sighed and went back to stabbing her meatloaf. She stabbed it a little too hard and it split in half. She wasn’t even sure the thing was meatloaf. It was all… Gross. She didn’t want to eat it anymore. She kept poking at it instead, watching it, humming and not really caring. There was another sigh and another poke. How much more of this could she take?

SKYLAR... Eraser shavings were scattered all over the paper, and the paper somehow had a light shading all over it from the way Skylar was drawing, editing, and carelessly sketching some parts of his piece. He grinned down at his drawing, tongue sticking out to the side and curving up around his upper lip as he did out of habit. Sky was extremely annoyed he couldn’t get the one leaf the way he wanted it. That’s all he needed to perfect the gorgeous, life-like drawing of a rose, and then it’d be complete. Drawing was one of his favorite hobbies, and he’d been doing it since he was very little. It also kept him occupied. Helping him not think about anything he didn’t want to. Skylar had spent nearly hours in the garden that morning. He had woken up around nine o’clock or so, got dressed in black skinny-jeans, a blue shirt with a random graphic/slogan on it, red jacket, stunner shades, and a black hat, gathered up his art supplies (which consisted of a sheet of paper, a random empty binder to lean on, and just an original number 2 pencil) and decided to go out to the gardens. He had walked around for a bit, actually enjoying the scenery, and all the different smells of the blooming plant life. Sky had then finally planted himself on a near by bench, looked around until something caught his eye, took the pencil out that he had tucked behind his ear, then began to draw. Really all he had a problem with was the shading of the leaf, because of the way the sun was hitting it on a certain angle.
Drawing was a little frustrating when you weren’t able to get everything you wanted to the exact object or whatever you were trying to draw. After a while Skylar finally got the leaf just about to where he had thought it was close enough to perfection. “Yes”! He shouted aloud to himself, sticking a fist in the air. He was quite pleased with what he had drew, looking it over a few times he dusted off the shaving, watching as the pink little specks fell to the ground. Skylar held up the sheet of paper in the air, it was beautiful even though it wasn’t in color, but in black, gray, and white. He liked it a lot. Ever since he came to Michigan State he hadn’t found much time to draw like he did back home, but back home he did it mostly for the fun of it. Never had he done it out of bored, which he sort of was at the moment. Sky sighed then put his artwork into the empty binder, tucked his pencil back behind his ear then stood up off the bench. Leaning back, raising his arms in the air, he stretched. He had been sitting for so long, it was unthinkable. He thought about finding another location were he could continue his drawing, but that thought went way over his head until he heard a low grumbling noise. ‘Grrrroooowwwl.’ What the hell was that? Skylar looked around, grinning out of confusion. It took the boy a while to realize it was his stomach telling him ‘Hey remember me? Yeah, well I need food over here, buddy! Today, this very second would be nice!’ It was sad, really, that it had taken SkySky that long to notice his stomach was making noises at him. Oh, did this boy give blondes a bad name or what? Placing a hand on his stomach, Sky really didn’t realize how hungry he was. He tried to remember if he had anything for breakfast. Nope, nothing. That was weird. He usually ate breakfast, as a matter of fact he usually ate pretty healthy and normal. Always having three meals a day, never eating at night, or rarely having a midnight snack. I guess you could say this all helped with the fact how muscular, yet fairly thin he was. Either way, he made up his mind by going to the cafeteria, he’d come back to the garden after he was well fed. The cafeteria wasn’t exactly on Skylar’s top ten for yummy food, but, hey, when he was hungry he’d eat just about anything that he could get his hands on. Really the food they served there made Mc Donald’s seem like a five star restaurant.
He made his way into the cafeteria. Barely anyone was here, that was good. On the bright side the line would be short. There was a plus. He made his way through the maze of tables, until something caught his eye. He noticed a very gorgeous girl sitting at table by herself, she seemed not amused and admirably bored out of her mind. But, hell, who wouldn’t be when they were sitting all lonesome, and having nobody to really talk with. Skylar squinted his eyes, she looked very, very familiar. He ran a list through his head of all the people he had met here. A name popped up in his head. Could it be? It might have been. I mean the last time he had saw her was when she was dripping wet, and clothes less. Skylar looked back at the food line, his stomach had waited for hours, it could wait a few more minutes. He wandered over to her, taking a longer root so she wouldn’t see him. In stead of approaching her from the front, face-to-face, Skylar managed to stand behind her. Smirking he leaned down, tapping her on her left shoulder, but his head was on her right side. It was a lame, old trick that most people did, but Sky found himself quite amused by it. His smile leaked out of his smirk, he then muttered into her ear.
“Mmm….that looks very delicious, love.” He pointed out sarcastically as he looked down at her tray of….What was that? Meatloaf? Couldn’t be. It looked like something that had just died, was thrown out, and had sat in a trashcan decaying for weeks. He stood there leaning over her, wondering how she’d react to him being there. Would she be pissed? He wouldn’t blame her for that after he bailed out on her in the shower room leaving her with nothing but total confusion and worry. He felt like an ass for everything that had happened that last few minutes of that night. Sky didn’t understand why he even came over here, he figured just now after that night why would she want to see him again? But that was the catch, he didn’t want to be away from her. This was better though, there were actually some people here so if anything went wrong someone would surely catch him in the act and report it or something so then he wouldn’t beable to really harm Kirsten. It was the last thing he ever really wanted to do, but that was kind of too late. It was more like the last thing he ever wanted to attempt again.
Without waiting for a reply from her, Skylar sat himself down next to her. Smiling, he hoped she wouldn’t bring up the fact about what was wrong with him that night. Then again it probably would have been nice to give her some information, but the only people that knew about his growing “serial killing urges” were his sister and dad, and Skylar wanted to keep it that way.

HEY THERE [SKYLAR] what's it like in new york city ?!• • • •Kirsten kept poking and staring. The tune in her song was giving her some inspiration. Words were popping up in there. She wondered if she should get out of this repulsive room with the disgusting… Well, you wouldn’t call it food since it was more like poison, wasn’t it? She was just deciding when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She looked to her left but no one was there. What? “Mmm….that looks very delicious, love.” Kirsten jumped and let out a yelp and looked to her right. Sky had decided to sit down next to her. A few people glared at her angrily. Whoops. She blushed and looked back down to her food. Her mouth had acted on its own. Then, she looked up at Sky and she half-smiled. “Don’t scare me like that ever again.” Her threatening words didn’t match her expression at all. Then, a puzzled look overcame her face. She remembered very well what had happened in the shower rooms. How could she not? But it had all ended so badly when it had started out so sweet. She returned her attention to her meatloaf and started stabbing it with her fork again, a small smirk in her expression. “I would have thought that you would be avoiding me by the way you left the other night,” she commented, focusing all of her attention on the now to split pieces of mushy and holed up – for lack of a better word – meat loaf. Her ears strained to hear his words though. She had vowed to get the truth out of him. “I think you owe me some answers, Sky.” Her smile had turned into a frown. She hadn’t really understood what had gone on that night, but she knew Sky had changed in those few minutes that he had strangled her. She didn’t blame him and she wasn’t upset but she had the right to know about what was wrong that night. Maybe, she deserved to die. She had been the worse child her parents could ever have and no one really liked her so she couldn’t blame Sky for trying but she was worried nonetheless. She didn’t know if she could help Sky, but she didn’t like sitting there and just hoping that everything was all right. She wasn’t the kind of person to stay put. She would take action. Now though, she really didn’t know against what. Her stomach growled again. She groaned again. There was no good food here! She was starving! “Ugh, my school’s cafeteria had better food than this!” she muttered under her breath, letting the fork drop. She pushed the plate away and crossed her arms. She would only try that food on a dare and even then, she would be unwilling. She looked away from the nasty stuff on her plate towards the ceiling and watched a broken fan spin half-heartedly. She needed real food. Not this poisonous crap, they called food. The cooks must have been recruited from a garbage dump. She could just imagine the hobos coming in to cook for two cents and hour. She stuck her tongue out at no one in particular, angry for the damn management at this damn place. The stuff was gross. She could probably cook better than this. That actually wasn’t a bad idea. If they let her borrow the kitchen and any ingredients she could get her hands on… But they wouldn’t. She sighed again. Her stomach growled in agony. She sympathized with it. • • • •NOTES ?!: Mine sucks!!!! You wrote so much! WORDS ?!: 587 TAGGED ?!: Alec CREDIT ?!: made by GLAMOPHONIC !? at caution 2.0.

SKYLAR...“Don’t scare me like that ever again.”
Skylar couldn’t help but laugh at that, he thought it was very amusing how he frightened her without really meaning to. All he did was tap her on her shoulder, no trouble in that, he wasn’t expecting to freak her out and turn heads. “I’m sorry…” He clicked his tongue, trying harder to hold back the last bit of laughter. “I’ll try and remember not to next time.” He coc.ked his head over her, one brow raised as he watched her mess around with the meatloaf. “Didn’t your mother ever tell you it’s not polite to play with your food?” Skylar asked teasingly. He’d play with it too just by the looks of it. That thing would never come in close contact with his lips. Ever. He didn’t wait for an answer on the food notion from her. His smile faulted as his ears endured her next choice of words. He really didn’t want to here it, but by just coming up to her he basically asked for the question to be bashed upon himself. Skylar sighed, tapping his knuckles on the table, and rolling his eyes. How could he explain this to her? ‘Oh, well here’s the deal, Kir. I happen to be a serial killer, and the other night I wanted to kill you, are you satisfied, now?’ No, he couldn’t do that. Maybe, he could say something close to it, of course he’d put it into a politer sense of words, but either way it’d most likely scare her shitless unlike a tap on the shoulder. There was a reason, and a good one at that why he never told anyone else besides a few members of his family. If he told anyone else they’d most likely never want to be around him again, report him to the police, or possibly move to a different neighborhood. The police probably would have been a better idea then being in this place, at least in jail he had a better chance of not being able to kill anybody. “Well…” Sky paused, clearing his throat, unsure if how she’d take the next thing he was going to say. “I probably should be avoiding you actually. Not that I want to it’s just…” Skylar sighed, this was harder then he really thought. The poor guy couldn’t even think of the right words to say to explain this all to Kirsten. “Look, maybe instead you should avoid me. It’ll be a lot better to tell you the truth. You have no idea.” He swallowed hard, a lump stuck in his throat as he looked at her with his baby blues. Watching her expression change to a frown he sighed again. The last thing he wanted was for her to angry at him, but it seemed likely it was a little too late for that as well. “I know, I know,” He stated defending himself, hands up in the air as if he was being accused for robbing a grocery store. “I should explain it all to you, but it’s more complicated then you think. I’ll tell you one thing though it has to do with….why I’m here obviously.” He clicked his tongue again, taking off his sunglasses and placing them nicely on the table where he put his binder.
He studied her for a few seconds, then sighed again. He probably sounded utterly confusing right now. Who wouldn’t be confused by the way he was acting though? It didn’t make sense. “I’m not sure if I can tell you, though. I’ve never told anyone,” He was completely serious, but couldn’t help but let loose a breezy laugh. “I'm not exaggerating either when I mean….anyone. Well, besides a few people in my family, but other then that anyone…out…side….my family.” He grinned as he tried making sense of what he said, thinking if it sounded correct. Yup, never told anyone outside his family, seemed about right. Sky noticed her mutter something under her breath, then looked back at her tray of food. His stomach rumbled again, and the thought of getting food was back. Also this would a good time for a subject change. He didn’t really like talking about himself much. “ Um, are you going to eat that?” Pointing to her apple, and leftover chips he couldn’t help but pop the question.

HEY THERE [SKYLAR] what's it like in new york city ?!• • • •“I’m sorry… I’ll try and remember not to next time.”Kirsten nodded. “That would be appreciated.” She didn’t really understand the tongue clucking but whatever. “Didn’t your mother ever tell you it’s not polite to play with your food?”Kirsten’s expression suddenly turned harsh and her eyes narrowed. Her voice was bitter as she spoke. “I’d rather not remember what my parents told me. Besides, do I have to have manners in a place like this?” She glared at the ceiling fan angrily. She didn’t want to remember her parents, ever. She turned back to look at him, waiting for an answer expectantly. He seemed troubled by it. Was it really that big? It didn’t matter to her. She was indifferent about this whole thing. She gave a weak smile of encouragement. He shouldn’t be so frightened. She watched him roll his eyes. That was a bit annoying. She was confused. She wanted answers. Sky had to tell her the truth. “Well…I probably should be avoiding you actually. Not that I want to it’s just… Look, maybe instead you should avoid me. It’ll be a lot better to tell you the truth. You have no idea.”Sky was totally confusing her. She shook her head. “I’m not going to start avoiding you! There is no way that would be better. If I don’t have an idea, then give me one damn it!” She looked at him with her piercing eyes which sparkled with anger. Sky better tell her what was up or she was going to blow. She didn’t mean to get mad, she just wanted some answers and Sky wasn’t really telling her. She did a breathing exercise to calm down. “Sorry. I shouldn’t have lost my temper like that.” She looked at him apologetically before looking back up at the ceiling fan. She sighed. How many times had she sighed so far? She really couldn’t control her rebel spirit. Whenever she was nervous, upset, scared or tired she grew really angry. Especially when she was annoyed and that was often. Now, she was confused. She wanted to understand but it wasn’t turning out really well. She really just wanted a straight answer. Then, all these clouds in her mind would lift away and she would just get it. Could Sky give her that much, at least? “I know, I know. I should explain it all to you, but it’s more complicated then you think. I’ll tell you one thing though it has to do with….why I’m here obviously.”She sighed again. “Why don’t you just tell me, Sky? I want to know. Do you turn into the incredible hulk at night? I can deal with that. Just… Explain to me please. I feel so clueless.” She looked down now, into her lap, avoiding his eyes. She was forcing back the emotion that wanted to show on her face. Pain. It was like an unstoppable force that wanted to push through everything else. It was hard to restrain and made her shrink back in terror. She didn’t want this emotion to show on her face. She didn’t want it to exist in her. It was always there though. It just didn’t fight until her weakest point. Her face struggled with the dilemma before turning blank again. “I’m not sure if I can tell you, though. I’ve never told anyone. I'm not exaggerating either when I mean….anyone. Well, besides a few people in my family, but other then that anyone…out…side….my family.”She became even more puzzled as he spoke but she thought she understood what he was saying. “Well, I sort of… Need to know. If it has to be a secret I’ll keep it Sky. I don’t betray others who put trust in me. But I need to know. I have a right to know. Just tell me, all right? I don’t judge people based on why they are here. Nothing really scares me. Sky, explain. Please.” She gave him a pleading look before looking back down. The pain was raging inside of her. She giggled when she heard the rumble that wasn’t from her stomach. He must be even hungrier than she was. “Um, are you going to eat that?”She pushed the plate towards him, nodding absentmindedly. “Their food isn’t good. The chips are all moldy and the apple has this big bruise. The only good thing here is the water.” She took a sip out of the bottle. Part of her wanted to laugh at the whole situation and another part of her wanted to get mad. Who knew she would be in this sort of dilemma with Sky? The guy she had only chatted with. She smiled to herself, brightening her features. She had gotten compliments from people back home about looking like an angel, but she never took them to heart. She always assumed that people said it out of courtesy. She just politely said thank you. She never realized how pretty she really was. All she saw in herself was an ugly girl who was brave enough to take on any challenge. This girl she saw in the mirror wasn’t very special in her point of view. It was only natural that Sky had changed his mind based on these facts. She thought that Sky had finally found he actually hated her. Inside, she was ultimately confused. She wanted to understand but it was hard. She examined her hands and kept her ears open, hoping to finally know. • • • •NOTES ?!: Hmm... SKYLAR... “That would be appreciated.”
Smiling, he returned a nod. “Then your wish, my lady, shall be granted.” Smile transforming into a confused grin, Skylar couldn’t comprehend why she was giving him such a nasty look. He must have hit a nerve or something. “Oh…,” He breathed softly, looking down at the table. “And no…” He chuckled. “I don’t think they’d really bother to make sure insane people are well mannered.” Both dark eye brows traveled up his forehead as he made that point. I mean after all they were in a hospital like place which a bunch of loons attended, Skylar counting himself in on the looney bin. He was a bit startled on how she snapped at him. It wasn’t uncalled for though. He somewhat deserved it. It was true she did have a huge right to know, hello, he had almost killed her that night. But he hadn’t, and Skylar couldn’t help but think just maybe if he went through with it he wouldn’t have to be sitting here answering her millions of ques- No! He couldn’t think like that. It was wrong, terrible, selfish, and any other word you could possibly think of that would fall gracefully into that category. He flinched at these thoughts. Sky glared at her as she said it wouldn’t be better avoiding him. This was something he didn’t get. “Why? Why wouldn’t it be better just avoiding me all together, huh? We can just both forget about it, and everything would be fine.” His voice rose as hers did, but he was more calm and collected about it. Skylar wasn’t one who lost his cool. “ If I don’t have an idea, then give me one damn it!” He turned away from her ignoring her demand. Yelling at him for answers wasn’t going to help her side much either, no matter how much she thought it would. He sighed again as he listened to her apology. “No, its’ fine, love. You really, really shouldn’t be the one making apologies and saying sorry.” Giving her a half-hearted concerned look, he flashed her a small smile. “It’s my fault I got you all worked up.” He placed an arm around her shoulders, and wasn’t uncomfortable with doing so. After hooking up in a shower, this shouldn’t be awkward what-so-ever. Skylar also didn’t really care who saw them there like this either for that matter. “Why don’t you just tell me, Sky? I want to know” At this Skylar sighed once again, he held her tighter with the arm he had around her, bringing her closer to him. “I know you want to know, but it’s just….its very serious. And the reason why I think you should avoid me is so something like what happened in the shower rooms doesn’t ever happen again. I don’t want to hurt you again, Kirsten. But…” He paused and looked at her carefully. “I guess I’ll tell you.”
“For starters, no, I don’t turn into the incredible hulk at night.” Skylar laughed. “I wish I did though, actually. You can’t deny that would be pretty damn awesome!” A cold look then swept across Skylar’s face, a chill running down his spine. “It’s worse then what you might think my problem is though, Kir.” He placed a finger under her chin, making her look up at him. It was serious what he was about to inform her on, and he wanted to look her directly in the eyes. He’d never trusted anyone else with his secret besides Hayden and Remus. “You’ve got to promise me you won’t mention any of what I’m about to tell you to anyone else. Do you understand?” He didn’t wait for her to reply, but instead looked over his shoulder just in case someone was around, but they just didn’t notice. Everything seemed clear. “Okay,” He said taking a deep breath and thought of were to start off with this. “Something happened to me when I was younger….I’m not sure what, but ever since then I’ve been a little…abnormal. Well no one is really normal, but more abnormal then abnormal.” He grinned as he explained this. Sky hoped she was comprehending everything he was telling her so far. “I witnessed my mother’s death…” He gulped, also trying to remember far back when he was seven years old. “My father…he….he murdered her.” Just mentioning his father made Sky receive this sour look on his face. Even the thought of that man angered him. He hated Sirius with a hardcore passion, and wanted him pretty much no longer alive. At this point Skylar stopped during his story, and waited to see what Kirsten had to say about all this.

HEY THERE [SKYLAR] what's it like in new york city ?!• • • • “Then your wish, my lady, shall be granted.”Kirsten laughed softly. She was far from a lady, but the effort was appreciated. “Oh… And no… I don’t think they’d really bother to make sure insane people are well mannered.”She toned down her glare and made her voice sound calmer. The thought of her mother chastising her had made her snap for a moment. “Exactly, but I’m not insane. I’m here because my parents made it sound like I was.” And that was giving away too much information. She shut her big fat trap. She hadn’t wanted to tell people about her family history. Her expression hardened when she heard what he said next. “Why? Why wouldn’t it be better just avoiding me all together, huh? We can just both forget about it, and everything would be fine.” “Nothing would be fine Sky! I don’t want to forget about it! I’m not going to avoid you! Nothing would be fine! All that would do would hurt me even further.” She looked away but when he accepted her apology she looked back. He was right. He should be the one apologizing. The arm around her shoulders didn’t seem odd to her either. In fact, she could look at it as progress. She leaned into him a little and got comfortable in his grip. She tilted her head to the side as she listened to him speak. “I know you want to know, but it’s just….its very serious. And the reason why I think you should avoid me is so something like what happened in the shower rooms doesn’t ever happen again. I don’t want to hurt you again, Kirsten. But…”She looked straight back at him as he paused. She wanted to understand. She wanted to know. She wasn’t afraid of getting hurt. She had already been through the worst kind of pain. She wasn’t going to avoid him, no matter what he thought so he might as well tell her. “I guess I’ll tell you.”Kirsten smiled at him, happy that he had finally decided to tell. “Thank you.” She gave him a happy look that said it all. She listened attentively to every word he spoke. “For starters, no, I don’t turn into the incredible hulk at night.” Skylar laughed. “I wish I did though, actually. You can’t deny that would be pretty damn awesome!” She laughed with him for a second. “Hmm… I don’t think I would want you to be the incredible hulk. I don’t think I’d like kissing a big green monster.” She couldn’t believe those words had just come out of her mouth! She bit her lip and listened to the rest of what he had to say, trying to focus on that instead of her embarrassment. She hid this from him but inside she was mentally hitting herself for saying something so embarrassing. “It’s worse then what you might think my problem is though, Kir.”“I don’t really know what your problem is so it can’t be worse,” she pointed out. “Besides, I’m not afraid of you. She had already been looking into his eyes so the finger on her chin was pretty pointless but whatever made him happy. “You’ve got to promise me you won’t mention any of what I’m about to tell you to anyone else. Do you understand?”She nodded, interested expression. What did he want her to do, pinky swear? He had obviously piqued her curiosity. She smiled at him one of her encouraging smiles. She listened, totally intent on his story. “Something happened to me when I was younger….I’m not sure what, but ever since then I’ve been a little…abnormal. Well no one is really normal, but more abnormal then abnormal. I witnessed my mother’s death…”Her eyes glazed over at this. She had mixed feelings. At one point, she wanted to yell, “LUCKY!” Another part of her knew this was sad for him and really wanted to comfort him. She resolved her internal struggle by putting her arm around his waist and hugging him lightly. “My father…he….he murdered her.”Kirsten’s expression turned sad. “I’m sorry,” she mumbled. She couldn’t really sympathize and even empathizing was out of the question since she didn’t really love her parents anymore. “I can’t really comfort since I hate both of my parents with I fiery passion that transcends the boundaries of hate itself. I really don’t know what it’s like to lose someone you love since I don’t have an actual person to love.” She frowned at how pathetic this sounded. Ugh! She looked up at him with strong independent eyes, unsure of how this would sound to him. • • • •NOTES ?!: Meh... WORDS ?!: 789 TAGGED ?!: Skylar CREDIT ?!: made by GLAMOPHONIC !? at caution 2.0.

SKYLAR...Skylar grinned at her statement about her parents. Her parents made it sound like she was insane? Had he heard that correct or was something stuck in his ears? Looking away from her he thought about this for a few seconds, totally dazed and not exactly present there at the moment. Sky wasn’t able to grasp how one’s parents could really send them here without good reasoning. “What do you mean, Kir?” He wondered, and also hoped this would somehow take off all the pressure on him a little, and the subject would just fall on her. Truth be told he still didn’t want to tell her anything. Noda. Nothing about why he was there, or why he was the way he was. Wanting to avoid anything and everything to do with what occurred in the shower rooms. He thought about making a brake for it again, right here, right now. No, that would be rude and ignorant if he did. She’d surely never forgive him for that. Skylar could just tell. As she snapped at him again, Sky just blinked at her as he was broken away from his thoughts. “Why would that hurt you?” A concerned, questioning look was plastered on the boy’s face. Even further?! Skylar disliked the sound of that, the last thing he wanted to do was hurt her then he already had. Again he felt like ass. As Kirsten thanked him Sky muttered, “Mm, your welcome.” It wasn’t very enthusiastic, but when someone said ‘thank you’ it was a natural reflex to say he was welcome. It was sort of like when people smiled or said ‘hello’ and no matter how hard you tried not to you somehow found yourself doing the exact same motion back.
His dark brows elevated up his forehead again, interested on her comment about the incredible hulk nonsense. “Oh really, what would you like to be kissing then?” Smiling he knew he was intentionally being a major tease. She didn’t have to answer that, it was fine with Sky. Skylar shook his head at her. “No, it is worse, just listen” He sighed. He was about to get on with the story until she mumbled ‘sorry’. “It’s….” He hesitated, but just shrugged. “It’s fine, really” There was a lie in his words. It wasn’t fine. None of it was. “As I was saying after that I was never really normal. My step father took me in along with my little brother and from then on we lived with him and my step sister. When I turned thirteen I didn’t want to hangout with other kids, but instead found it more fun to…torture and kill whatever kid of animals I could capture or lore to me.” Skylar’s mind then wandered back to the memories of home. He spent hours in the backyard setting traps and making plans on how he’d kill the neighbor’s dog, partially because the damn thing wouldn’t shut up ever. He took kitchen knives and would skin off the animals fur, cut them up into little pieces, making sure no blood got anywhere, and then would burry them. He had never really thought his dad wanted to plant a garden back there. Not daring to look at Kirsten he didn’t want to see the expression on her face after what he had just said about killing living beings and never really wanting to socialize with people. That seemed a little odd for how bouncy and social Sky was now. Then again he’d always been pretty social he just got caught up more in trying to take life away from innocent, little, creatures.
Skylar continued on with the rest of his story. “It was really strange, I know, but they were more like….these weird, sudden, urges where I just had to go out and do this! Like it was sleep, eat, breath, go out to the backyard and kill whatever you catch.” Sky laughed, but he wasn’t laughing literally at what he said, he was laughing at how crazy it sounded. “As I got older they only started to get worse though, and it turned out these were signs of….of…” He stuttered, and swallowed a lump in his throat as if he were trying to take a dry pill with no water to wash it down. “Of a serial killer.” He blurted out quickly. Skylar refused to see how she’d react to this also, so he just went on with what he had been saying. “When I was sixteen, I almost killed my girlfriend.“ He stopped, then finally looked at Kirsten wondering if she’d comment on the fact he said his girlfriend. Sky didn’t even bother mentioning it was his ex. Thoughts of that night he tried to kill his ex with an ax came floating back to him, he cried that night too. It was horrible, Skylar rarely ever was upset or at least when he was he did a wonderful job of not showing it. “That’s why it’s best if you avoid me, I can’t do that again like I did to you the other night. That’s why I had to leave. I can’t control these urges when they happen, and their just getting worse. I'm never going to change. I need to kill, it’s just processed in my….head” He said grinning, flipping a hand up and making a motion toward his head as he said it. Skylar wondered if she thought he was more insane then anybody here, she couldn’t have taken him seriously with all of this. He stared her down with a stern, serious, look.

HEY THERE [SKY] what's it like in new york city ?!• • • • “What do you mean, Kir?”Kirsten shook her head, stubbornly. “I’ll explain later. First, keep talking.” She motioned with her hands for him to continue. She didn’t want to talk about her parents right now. They were dead as far as she was concerned. The treacherous people no longer existed to her. They were just a memory. They were a memory that she remembered way too well. She was frowning, a little upset that they had been brought into the conversation. She hadn’t wanted to explain the details of her sentencing to Michigan State but since he was confessing, she might as well. Her history with her parents had been great up to a certain point but the bad parts still hurt to talk about. Oh, well. She didn’t want this conversation to turn onto her problems. At least, not until his story was over. She didn’t want him to completely divert from the story. This wasn’t about her, it was about Sky. “Why would that hurt you?”Kirsten looked down, a light blush covering her face. She glanced to the left, trying to avoid his gaze. The truth was she didn’t want to forget Sky. It seemed like it would hurt. She didn’t really understand why. She just didn’t want to forget Sky. Saying that out loud seemed amazingly embarrassingly. She didn’t know if she could say that with a straight face. She put a hand to her forehead, considering how to answer that. “It just would, okay!” she snapped, frustrated that she couldn’t answer right. She glared at her hands. She couldn’t be in love. At least, that was what she told herself. If she was in love, she would get hurt again when she heard those words again. She made her face become blank and she looked back up at Sky, hoping he would ignore this comment and just continue. “Oh really, what would you like to be kissing then?” Oh God. Embarrassment just loved her didn’t it? She considered her answers before she leaned and kissed him quickly. Her face was blank but there was still a blush there. “ That is what I’d like to be kissing,” she answered. She looked down at her hands again. “No, it is worse, just listen” She looked up and sighed. She wanted to understand but he was making it unnecessarily difficult. He didn’t sound very convincing when he said it was fine. She let it go though. She wouldn’t understand. Not anymore, anyway. She listened quietly to the rest of his words. “As I was saying after that I was never really normal. My step father took me in along with my little brother and from then on we lived with him and my step sister. When I turned thirteen I didn’t want to hangout with other kids, but instead found it more fun to…torture and kill whatever kid of animals I could capture or lore to me.”Kirsten gaped at him before hiding her expression behind another mask of blankness. She resolved to keep this expression no matter what else she heard. She didn’t want to hurt him. Torturing and killing animals? This didn’t seem like Sky at all. Was that the reason that he was in here? That didn’t make sense since it didn’t tell her anything about the other night! All he had done was confuse her even more. But torturing and killing animals… It was a side to Sky she would have never guessed at. He probably didn’t want to either. It was most likely due to trauma. He could be here willingly to cure his problem. Kirsten didn’t believe people here could help though. But he wasn’t done. “It was really strange, I know, but they were more like….these weird, sudden, urges where I just had to go out and do this! Like it was sleep, eat, breath, go out to the backyard and kill whatever you catch.”A frown tugged at the edges of her lips but she managed to keep her face blank. She didn’t find this very amusing. It was a little scary to her. All of a sudden, she found out the guy she had been in the showers with liked to kill animals. Well, he didn’t necessarily like to, did he? He had said urges to kill. He didn’t kill because he wanted to. Maybe, it was a physical reaction? Kirsten started guessing. Maybe, his body remembered seeing his father killing and felt the need to repeat the action? She didn’t really know but it was better than thinking that Sky was a serial killer which she knew he was certainly not. She was sure of that. The Sky that had tried to kill her was not the real Sky. She listened to the rest of his story. “When I was sixteen, I almost killed my girlfriend.“That comment was a bit shocking. It was hard to keep the blank page look with that news. He almost killed his girlfriend. He has a girlfriend? What the fuck? Why didn’t she know this? She had been in the shower with him! She ducked out from under his arm and scooted over a little bit, creating some space. He had almost killed his girlfriend like he had almost strangled Kirsten. She understood that he had a problem with violence but she wasn’t going to be afraid of him right now. What was more upsetting was that he had a girlfriend! She glared at her hands, unwilling to show him any expression at the moment. “That’s why it’s best if you avoid me, I can’t do that again like I did to you the other night. That’s why I had to leave. I can’t control these urges when they happen, and their just getting worse. I'm never going to change. I need to kill, it’s just processed in my….head”Her glare suddenly was on him. She gave him a hard look before speaking. “One, I might avoid you but not because you think of yourself as a killer, because you’re not. It’s not ‘best’ to avoid you!” she started. “Two, you’re right. You can’t do what you did the other night because I’d give all the money I had to bet that you can control your urges. And three, I went in the shower with you and you didn’t tell me you had a girlfriend! She spat the last couple words at him, her voice a little louder than before and attracting stares before standing up. “Don’t worry! I might just avoid you for being a cheater! I take it back! I would rather kiss the incredible hulk! It’s better than kissing a cheater! She turned her head from him and waited for his answer. She was steaming! How could he not tell her!? • • • •NOTES ?!: Who knew I would get to the thousands? WORDS ?!: 1,141 TAGGED ?!: Sky CREDIT ?!: made by GLAMOPHONIC !? at caution 2.0.

SKYLAR... Skylar grinned at her as she snapped at him, a small smirk spreading across his face. “No need to be feisty, love. It’s okay.” He flashed her a reassuring smile, rubbing her arm real quick. “Relax, I’m sorry.” Sky’s brows slinked down into a slight grin. “I’ve been making you snap at me a lot lately haven’t I?” A sorrowful look swept over his face like windshield wipers slashing water off a windshield from the falling rain. He didn’t want her to be upset with him, and he disliked people being sad or angry, even frustrated. He’d usually help them out, but when he was the reason for it, well, he’d still try and help. It’d just be a lot more difficult then it being a different reason. He subsided the thought of waiting for a reply from her, as he wasn’t expecting her to lean in and kiss him. At this he smiled, blue orbs glittering with intense amusement. “I’d like to be kissing that, too” His voice toned down to an almost whisper, and he bobbed his head, motioning toward her. Skylar didn’t wait for any retort from the comment he made back to her. He listened to what she said about going on with his story, and when he told her she seemed to have such a calm, blank look on her face it made him just want to grab by the shoulders, and shake some sense into her like a mad man. He didn’t understand why she wasn’t running from him after he just introduced himself, basically, as a killer. And day by day his urges would only get worse, until he would no longer give a damn. Maybe he some how could use these urges for good someday, but as of now they were a huge burden to Skylar. He hated how he was, but in some way it was based on his everyday…survi- No survival wasn’t a very good word. More like lifestyle, maybe? Yes, lifestyle. That worked.
Once he saw the look on her face, shock, about when he mentioned the incident with his ex girlfriend, Skylar looked as if he was just slapped in the face. Well, he had told her. It was what she wanted, he understood if she was scared, frightened, anything to fit in the category of horror. He was dangerous, and that was the main thing. He didn’t want to put her in danger again. Ever. “One, I might avoid you but not because you think of yourself as a killer, because you’re not. As her words vibrated to his ears, catching the way she said it. So sure, so serious, Sky just was about to shake sense into her like he had wanted only moments ago. Was she serious?! He was a killer, or becoming one. It was only a matter of time. He had killed animals, if that wasn’t a killer…What was? Monster? Hunter? Didn’t matter, it was somewhere about around one of them. Either way he was going to become much worse someday, and he’d want to be far away from Kirsten as possible. He liked her too much, it was driving him mad. It was weird to him how instantly fast he got over his ex girlfriend, really. He had liked her a lot, so much he thought about her every day, wanted to always be with her. They had been together for two years, until she went and totally blew Skylar off through a text. “Kirsten,” He grinded his teeth together trying hard to keep calm, he didn’t like snapping at people unless they were really annoying him or something. But what Kirsten was saying was just on the edge of throwing him off guard. “You don’t even know what you’re talking about. I am a killer. You have to realize this, I told you, and you said you’d understand.” Skylar broke out in fluent chuckles. “But…you don’t! You really, really don’t. Doesn’t it even faze you, or scare you that I almost did away with you?” He asked brows raised in wonder. “And don’t waster your money. Didn’t you even hear what I said? I don’t know if I can control them, their getting worse.” He sputtered, his voice shaky, a bit scared at the thought that he, himself, would never get better. Never, ever, change.
His wonder struck look turned into a soft, calming grin as she stated the third situation in her rant. And three, I went in the shower with you and you didn’t tell me you had a girlfriend! “Kirsten she…” He was cut off by her next choice of words. He didn’t understand why she was flipping at this, he had finally realized he had said his girlfriend instead of ex. Again, the damn, poor boy gave blondes a bad name. He stood up as she did, grabbing a hold of her hand gently and pulling her toward him. “Kirsten, I’m not a cheater. I’ve never cheated on anyone. Ever. I couldn’t even bring myself to intentionally hurt someone emotionally like that. I don’t even know if I could live with myself if I ever did that.” He smiled, but his face was somehow totally serious. “She…she broke up with me.” He stuttered, trying to hide his hurt look, by looking away from Kirsten. He scratched the back of his neck sheepishly, he didn’t want to talk about Steph. He just wanted to forget everything about her, he was pretty much interested in some else now. Kirsten, obviously. “And she did it before I was even in the shower with you that night, so no I didn’t cheat, no, I’ve never have cheated…and never will.” He added quickly. “But if you still want to avoid me, be my guest, dear. I won’t stop you.” He said, still holding her hand. He didn’t want her to go, and the look was in his watery blue eyes as well.

HEY THERE [SKY] what's it like in new york city ?!• • • •Kirsten glared at Sky. She was more than a little upset. “No need to be feisty, love. It’s okay. Relax, I’m sorry. I’ve been making you snap at me a lot lately haven’t I?”Her expression softened a little bit. “Sorry, that one was my fault.” She gave a sheepish smile. She hadn’t meant to snap at all but she had been cornered with that question. She had been caught off guard. She had told herself that she couldn’t be in love with him but it was becoming a bit hard not to fall in love. Answering that question would have required confronting her feelings and Kirsten just wasn’t ready for that yet. She would have to live with knowing that the person would hate her in the end and she would get hurt, again. She didn’t want that. “I’d like to be kissing that, too.”Kirsten blushed lightly at this comment. The idea to kiss him had just sprung in her head but it had been a good answer. It was embarrassing but it had felt right, if that made sense at all. She sighed quietly before looking up at him. “You don’t even know what you’re talking about. I am a killer. You have to realize this, I told you, and you said you’d understand.” Kirsten’s eyes grew cold and piercing. “I do understand Sky. You aren’t a killer because you haven’t killed a human being. You didn’t kill me. You didn’t kill your girlfriend. So, you aren’t a killer.” Her reasoning was right and she knew it. You couldn’t beat her logic. She wouldn’t believe that Sky was a killer. It wasn’t him. She raised an eyebrow as he laughed. “But…you don’t! You really, really don’t. Doesn’t it even faze you, or scare you that I almost did away with you?”Kirsten took a deep breath, and for the first time in a long time, she said what she really wanted to say. “I understand Sky, but it didn’t scare me nor faze me. If you had killed me, I wouldn’t have cared. I’m not suicidal. I don’t want to die. It just doesn’t matter if I do. No one would miss me here and I don’t really have a future in front of me at the moment. I don’t have anything to live for. It wouldn’t matter. Besides, I don’t think you would let yourself kill me Sky. You don’t want to kill me that much.” “And don’t waster your money. Didn’t you even hear what I said? I don’t know if I can control them, their getting worse.”“Then how about you do something about it Sky? Quit complaining since it isn’t helping and try to find a cure or something. All you’re doing is yelling at me, trying to convince me that you’re a scary death trap, which you’re not. All you’re doing is making me more agitated and scaring the hell out of yourself. I mean, look at you! You can barely talk!” She crossed her arms. This wasn’t doing anything. He was convincing himself not her. She didn’t believe in one bit of this crap. Her expression was defensive and even slightly bored now. “Kirsten, I’m not a cheater. I’ve never cheated on anyone. Ever. I couldn’t even bring myself to intentionally hurt someone emotionally like that. I don’t even know if I could live with myself if I ever did that.”Kirsten glared at him, about to wriggle out of his grip. “Then, how –“ She was interrupted by the rest of what he had to say. “She…she broke up with me.”Kirsten stopped. She looked at Sky. She was so stupid! It was obvious he was in pain over it and she had him bring it up. She yelled at herself multiple times inside. “And she did it before I was even in the shower with you that night, so no I didn’t cheat, no, I’ve never have cheated…and never will.”“I’m so sorry, Sky. I’m such a dumb ass. I just hate liars and cheaters and I didn’t like the idea that someone was playing around with me… But I know that you weren’t and I’m so sorry that I actually came up with that kind of conclusion. I shouldn’t have judged. Ugh. I’m so stupid!” She had never been so dumb in her life! It was true. Embarrassment did love her. It loved her a little too much. She gripped his hand and sat back down. “Sorry,” she repeated, feeling like shit. “But if you still want to avoid me, be my guest, dear. I won’t stop you.”Kirsten actually laughed at this comment. “If you really wanted me to avoid you, you shouldn’t have told me that she was your ex. Otherwise, I would be all the way to my cell by now. It’s your own fault.” She smirked. “I’m not going anywhere Sky. Whether you like it or not, I’m going to be here for a while.” • • • •NOTES ?!: WORDS ?!: 841 TAGGED ?!: Sky CREDIT ?!: made by GLAMOPHONIC !? at caution 2.0.

SKYLAR...Sky grinded his teeth together again, annoyed. No, she didn’t understand anything he was telling her at all. He could never be cured. There wasn’t a cure for this sort of…insaneness. Skylar had tried to get help from his father when he told him finally about his killing issues. His father somehow helped him receive control, but that failed. His father also knew his son wasn’t going to change, but he needed to somehow use this terrible thing for good then taking the wrong path with it. Either way it wasn’t good, the fact that Skylar was a killer in the making. Sky’s father’s help failed in a way though, considering that night Skylar had almost committed a murder. “Kirsten it’s only a matter of time until I kill a human being! Why don’t you get this?” His voice was getting louder, but Skylar managed to keep it low almost close enough to a whisper, but just in ear shot for Kirsten. “I’ll never change. There is no damn cure for something like this. And if I do harm or kill someone I won’t, and I know I will never regret doing it. And after, I’m only going to want to do it more. That’s what I’m saying when I mean theses urges are only getting worse, and worse. There’s nothing I can do about them!” He sighed, placing his face in his hands as he sat back down with her. “And I’m not complaining,” He grinned back up at her. “I’m explaining everything to you because you wanted to know! Or else I wouldn’t have told you at all. “ Skylar then looked at her mouth open, his brows creeping in to a hard glare. “Don’t say that, Kirsten. I would care if your dead!” His voice got louder again, and he ran a hand through his hair. “Just…don’t say that. I don't want to kill anyone, but I don't know. It’s confusing, it’s like I have one part of my mind set on something, and the other is set on something totally different.”
Skylar smiled as she apologized. He thought it was adorable considering she had nothing to be sorry for. He shrugged it off, flapping at hand at her. “It’s fine , really. I’m…I’m over her.” He stuttered a bit, but the look on his face was totally serious. Of course there was still that feeling of wanting to be back with his ex, but it would fade. If she didn’t want him, Sky sure as hell did not want her. “Kir, you’re not a dumbass. I am. I didn’t…exactly… mention…she …was my ex.” He mumbled sheepishly, rolling his orbs skyward. “And I hate liars and cheaters all the same.” Skylark smiled, grabbing the apple she had pushed over to him and taking a bite out of it. It tasted okay, it wasn’t the greatest apple he had ever bitten into, but either way the boy was fucking hungry. “Considering that’s why I’m not either of the two.” He raised his brows throwing out his point. He moved closer to her again, putting his free arm back around her. “I shouldn’t have, huh?” Well, then since your obviously staying, and not avoiding me. And I still advise you should, but it's your funeral, babe. Wel…” He thought about what he was going to say for a few seconds, biting into his apple again. “Does this mean you want to go out with me?” He stared at her grinning wondering what she’d say.

HEY THERE [SKY] what's it like in new york city ?!• • • • “Kirsten it’s only a matter of time until I kill a human being! Why don’t you get this? I’ll never change. There is no damn cure for something like this. And if I do harm or kill someone I won’t, and I know I will never regret doing it. And after, I’m only going to want to do it more. That’s what I’m saying when I mean theses urges are only getting worse, and worse. There’s nothing I can do about them! And I’m not complaining. I’m explaining everything to you because you wanted to know! Or else I wouldn’t have told you at all.” Kirsten rolled her eyes as he finally completed his rant. She was done with this subject. So, he had a problem with killing people. Somehow, that didn’t bother her at all. She was just fine with that. She didn’t seem to care that he could snap at any moment. If he really wanted to stop he would try to. She realized that was the reason why he is here and he most likely came willingly. The thing was, she believed he could stop it all on his own. He just wasn’t trying hard enough. She shook her head. She hated this conversation. Why couldn’t it be over? She brought her hand up to his cheek. “Could we just drop it? Please?” she pleaded quietly. “Don’t say that, Kirsten. I would care if your dead! ”Her expression darkened immediately after hearing these words. She looked away towards the right, glaring at the wall. Her voice turned sour. “You don’t mean that!” she retorted. No one who said that could mean it. No one cared if she was dead or alive. Everyone who said that was hiding behind a mask. Sky had his own little mask on. She didn’t want that, but he did. Why did it hurt more because it was him? “Just…don’t say that. I don't want to kill anyone, but I don't know. It’s confusing, it’s like I have one part of my mind set on something, and the other is set on something totally different.”She shook her head again. “Then, focus it on the one part. Focus it on the part that doesn’t want to kill anyone. If this is all psychological, then you should be able to control it on your own. Doctors and counselors don’t really help.” Kirsten really did want to help Sky but he was so negative about the whole thing. If he was going to do something about it, he better start being a little more positive. Kirsten just didn’t know how long she would be around to help him though. She was getting dangerously close to hurting herself. If she got any closer to Sky, then she was sure to be rejected sooner or later, and then she was going to be in pain. She was snapped back to reality as he continued. “It’s fine, really. I’m…I’m over her. Kir, you’re not a dumbass. I am. I didn’t…exactly… mention…she …was my ex.” Damn it. Now, she felt even worse. She frowned. In her head, she kept hearing, “Liar, liar, liar, liar…” He didn’t sound over her and he sounded hesitant when mentioning she was his ex. She brought one arm around his waist. Why had she gone and judged out of no where? Stupid, idiotic, fucking Kirsten! Yes, she was a dumbass! She didn’t comment on it though. Anything more she said would probably hurt him and it seemed like he wanted to get off the topic, quickly. She nodded, not really agreeing with him. “And I hate liars and cheaters all the same. Considering that’s why I’m not either of the two.” He was only right about the second part. He was wrong about the first part. He was a liar. He said he cared about her. She didn’t believe that at all. No one cared about her. There wasn’t a soul on the Earth that cared for Kirsten Elle Barker. She nodded again, hoping to get off the subject. Under her breath, she muttered, “Liar.” “I shouldn’t have, huh?” Well, then since your obviously staying, and not avoiding me. And I still advise you should, but it's your funeral, babe. Well…” Kirsten rolled her eyes and then looked over at him curiously. Her head was tilted to the side. What was he going to say next? “Does this mean you want to go out with me?” Kirsten’s face was a mask of shock. She couldn’t help it. No one had ever asked her out and she had figured that no one would. Ever. A look of pain overcame her face. He was lying. She had to know that. Or at least he wasn’t sure of what he had said. That had to be it. He had made a mistake! “You… You don’t know what you’re saying,” she said lightly, her voice leaking out hurt. She looked down at her lap. “You have to understand S-Sky. Even if I did g- go o-out with you, I would never fully trust you and… and …” She was going to say that he hated her, but saying that out loud seemed too painful. Her voice was shaky and she couldn’t speak right. She groaned and closed her eyes, wondering what his reaction would be. The truth was, she really did want to go out with Sky, although it would be hard to do in a mental hospital, she still wanted to date him. The trouble was, she still didn’t believe he liked her. Even if she did go out with him, she would find herself falling in love and when she finally heard those words come out of his mouth – she hated those words – it would result in ultimate heart break. She peered up at him from sad, frightened, pained eyes wondering what he would say. She was scared to hear it. • • • •NOTES ?!: Almost into the thousands! SKYLAR...Skylar grinned at her, not expecting her to place her hand on his cheek. He listened to what she said, gave an annoyed sigh, but nodded. It wasn’t his fault, she was the one who wanted to know so badly in the first place what was wrong with him. “Fine,” He shrugged. Again she had snapped at him, had to be the tenth time at the least! Not that Skylar was counting, it was just so frustrating! “Kirsten I do mean it. I care about you. I don’t ever want to hurt you, or see you hurt.” Sky stated with a hardcore poker face, but he was looking more to show the expression of seriousness. Skylar looked at her again like she was the most unintelligent thing on this earth. “Kirsten…I guess you could say its psychological, but I don’t know. It’s much harder then you think. I can barely explain it. The mind set part was just more of an example, really…or a way of explaining things so you can comprehend this all better.” He grinned again, looking down past the table, eyes fixed on the floor as if he were fascinated by it. “I know doctors and counselors are useless. That’s why my father never sent me to one, but instead we thought this place might help. I agreed to come, so here I am, but deep down we both knew I’d never, ever change.”
Skylar wanted to get off this subject just as much as she did. He had done enough explaining for the day, but if she wanted to know more about him then he’d tell her. There was no longer anything else to really hide from Kirsten. He was somewhat glad that he had been able to let someone else know besides his family. Yet, in the back of his mind he couldn’t help thinking what if it didn’t go well between him and Kirsten? Skylar glared at his thoughts, it wasn’t time to think like that, it wouldn’t matter anyways. What was she going to say? ‘Oh no! Don’t be friend him he’s a insane boy that will end up killing you!’ He wouldn’t blame her if she did, at least then he wouldn’t really be able to cause anyone harm or death.
It had been no mistake what Skylar had asked her. He wanted to know if she wanted to be with him. If not it was fine, sure it’d hurt, but it was all up to her. “You… You don’t know what you’re saying,” Skylar looked at her like a confused puppy that had just got slapped with a paper for the first time because it had peed on the carpet. “What do you mean?” He half smiled. “I know exactly what I’m say-“ He was cut off as he heard the rest of what Kirsten said. A hurt look swept his face. “Kir, it’s fine. I know when I’m being rejected. I'm not that much of an idiot. ” He nodded, loosening his grip on her. “If you don’t want to be with me I understand. “ He nodded smiling, still hurt. It was good in a way though, then he wouldn’t be as close to where he could cause anymore harm toward. Skylar figured he did scare her a bit, even though she was denying it at all cost. Sky started to think now that’s he was, really to her, a one night stand sort of thing and possibly friends with benefits or something.

HEY THERE [SKY] what's it like in new york city ?!• • • •Kirsten sighed out of relief when he agreed on dropping the subject. She was over the whole thing. It was only making them more aggravated and she didn’t want either of them annoyed at the other. She smiled at him. “Good.” Her hand drew back from his cheek and went back into her lap. She still thought that he could do something about it but it wasn’t the time to talk about it. He was only getting more upset at her and she was only getting more annoyed at him. It was definitely time to drop it. “Kirsten I do mean it. I care about you. I don’t ever want to hurt you, or see you hurt.” Kirsten glared at him, not believing one word of it. It was all lies. No one cared about her, let alone Sky. Every time she heard those words she felt more pain because she knew it was all a façade. She shook her head, disbelief on her face. “No, you don’t Sky. Don’t cause me more pain than I have to endure already. Every time you lie like that, you just add on to it. Please, stop.” Her heart felt heavy with hurt and her expression was sad. Her eyes had taken on a duller color than usual. She looked away from Sky and into space, a blank expression overtaking her face. She didn’t want Sky to lie to her most of all. It hurt too much. Half of the time, she wanted everyone to take off their masks and just show her their true selves. The other half of the time, she was too afraid to find out how much they truly hated her. She felt like crying but she held in the tears. She wasn’t going to become weak here or now. Sky didn’t understand what it was like. He thought he had all the problems, with his killing urges. Kirsten had her share of problems though. Everyone hated her. “Kirsten…I guess you could say it’s psychological, but I don’t know. It’s much harder then you think. I can barely explain it. The mind set part was just more of an example, really…or a way of explaining things so you can comprehend this all better.” Comprehend it better? She didn’t really comprehend a lot. The whole thing was a confusing mess. She shrugged lightly. She looked up at him hopefully, really tired of all of these subjects that hurt either Sky or Kirsten. “I know doctors and counselors are useless. That’s why my father never sent me to one, but instead we thought this place might help. I agreed to come, so here I am, but deep down we both knew I’d never, ever change.” “Yes, you will change Sky. You’re just not positive enough. Your negativity is so bad and it’s giving me a headache so just stop talking about it.” She gave him a disapproving look before looking back at the wall. He really didn’t get it. He kept being depressed and it was ruining his life. Couldn’t he be naturally happy for once? She didn’t like the sad expression that she saw on Sky’s face all the time. She would give anything to make him smile all the time. “What do you mean? I know exactly what I’m say –“ Kirsten shook her head. No he didn’t! He couldn’t understand! He couldn’t see that he had just asked her to confront all of her feelings for him, sum them up, consider his true feelings and make a decision on whether to hurt herself or not. She didn’t know how to do that on such short notice! Her hands flew up in fists to her head. She was panicking a bit. He couldn’t understand how emotional this was! Inside of her mind her thoughts were going crazy. Her expression looked like it was in pain. She had just been forced to confront the fact that she was in love with Sky. Now, she didn’t know how to deal with that fact. “Kir, it’s fine. I know when I’m being rejected. I'm not that much of an idiot. If you don’t want to be with me I understand.”Kirsten heard the pain in his voice. She wasn’t rejecting him! She didn’t know what she was doing at the moment. “Damn it Sky! You don’t understand! I do want to be with you! You aren’t being rejected! At least, I don’t think so! You’re not the idiot! I am!” She was getting more and more panicky. Her eyes squeezed shut. The sting from tears forming in her eyes slowly appeared. She didn’t want to let them fall but it was impossible to keep them out forever. She had been holding back tears since she was small and now, it seemed too hard to keep them at bay. They slowly leaked out. Sky had just asked her to go out with him and she wanted to say yes! But how could she say yes? She didn’t believe he loved her! She didn’t trust anyone to love her long! She looked at Sky through teary eyes. “You say you want to go out with me, but how do I trust you? How do I believe that you really want to?” she asked, he voice distorted with sobs. She hadn’t wanted to face her feelings like this. She hadn’t wanted to find herself with an unexpected decision to make in front of her. She liked Sky, a lot, but trusting him would be hard. One choice was like condemning herself to pain and having him break her heart. The other choice was like breaking her own heart and living with regret but not having to suffer the pain. How could she choose between two terrible choices? She didn’t want to! She didn’t want to get hurt again and she didn’t want it to be Sky who hurt her! Why had she fallen in love with him? Why had this happened? Why couldn’t all of the pain just go away? • • • •NOTES ?!: I liked this post! Although I wanted to cry while I wrote it! WORDS ?!: 1,016 XD TAGGED ?!: S-S-S-Sky!
