The city of Harley, Washington is...special if you will. Instead of normal citizens, this town is a safe haven for the abnormally awkward. Werewolves, witches, vampires, faeries, ghosts, you name it. If it's a magickal, mythical being— then they reside in Harley.
The town itself is practically hidden from any 'mortal' eyes, with a ward that only allows certain individuals in. If you're a half-breed, then you'll be allowed in; but not well-liked. Right now, the city is cookie-cutter perfect. Everyone gets along with all the purebred mystical beings.
The half breeds however, don't get much respect. It doesn't reach a point where it's potentially lethal or dangerous. Just, extremely negative and violent. The schools aren't any better. Can the half breeds actually make it through a simple school day, or will the violence and prejudice against their kind drive them to insanity?
Usually time heals all wounds. But this wound looks particularly nasty. Can it ever be healed so half breeds can live in harmony with purebreds?
